Roles & rights

Permission system

Every employee sees exactly what their role allows – no more. With user groups, finely controllable rights and login logging you keep your data GDPR-compliant and protected from misuse.

The advantages of the permission system with Darkbird

  • Roles & user groups

Employees are assigned to roles; each role has clearly defined rights.

  • Restrict data visibility

Everyone sees only the data they need for their job – e.g. only their own sites.

  • GDPR-compliant

Personal data is visible only to authorised users – privacy by design.

  • Login logging

Logins are logged – it's traceable who accessed what and when.

  • Protection from misuse

Clear permission boundaries stop anyone seeing or changing data that's none of their business.

  • Centrally controllable

Assign rights centrally and adjust them any time – on hiring, role change or departure.

Permissions matter. But – and not just since GDPR – they tend to get very complex and complicated and often get in users' way. Darkbird takes a different path and makes permissions really simple.

What is a permission system in security software?

In a security company many people with different jobs work in one system: management, operations, site managers, guards. Not everyone should be able to see or change everything. Darkbird's permission system assigns each user to a role or user group with clearly defined rights and restricts data visibility accordingly – a guard, for example, only sees their own sites and shifts. Personal data thus stays visible only to authorised users (GDPR-compliant), logins are logged, and clear permission boundaries protect against misuse. You assign the rights centrally and adjust them any time – on hiring, on a role change or on departure.
