Keys & safe
Key management
In Darkbird you link every key to the right alarm object – and to its slot in the key safe at the intervention point. When an alarm or a customer call comes in, the control room operator sees instantly which key belongs to which object and where it is. Keys for patrol-service buildings can be managed this way too.
The advantages of key management with Darkbird
-
Key ↔ alarm object

Bridge to the key safe
Darkbird gives the number of the key in the safe at the intervention point.

Patrol-service buildings too
Besides alarm objects, keys for patrol-service buildings can be managed.
-
No searching, no notes
Clear, central assignment instead of keyring chaos.
Darkbird strives for full digitalisation. One point where that simply isn't possible is keys, transponders, access cards and the like. But finding and managing them faster – that you can do with our software.
Key management for alarm objects and patrol service
Security providers keep the keys to their alarm objects in key safes at the intervention point. In an emergency every second counts – the control room operator has to know instantly which key belongs to which object and where in the safe it is. This is exactly where Darkbird is the bridge: every key is linked to the object and its alarm file. For example: an alarm comes in. The operator records it by customer name or number and gets from Darkbird the assigned alarm-file number as well as the number of the key in the safe – the patrol driver grabs the right key and sets off. Another example: a customer calls and wants into their building on the weekend. The operator checks the key list, reads out the number and sends the patrol driver off with the right key. Besides alarm objects, keys for patrol-service buildings can be managed this way too.
Frequently asked questions about key management
Which objects is key management intended for?
Primarily for alarm objects whose keys are kept in key safes at the intervention point; also for patrol-service buildings.
How does it help in an alarm?
The operator records the alarm by customer name or number and gets the alarm file and the key number in the safe.
Does it also work for planned customer requests?
Yes. The operator finds the key in the key list and sends the patrol driver with the right key.
Does Darkbird manage the keys physically?
No, the keys are in the key safe. Darkbird is the bridge that links object/alarm file and key number.
